  • How do you license ArtOfTest Automation Design Canvas?

    ArtOfTest Automation Design Canvas is offered with a Machine and Server Licenses which gives a specific machine rights to build, modify and execute tests. The Machine and Server License both include free updates and priority support for 1 year.
  • Do I need a license key to install ArtOfTest Automation Design Canvas?

    Yes, Automation Design Canvas uses activation keys. Upon purchase and payment you will receive an e-mail containing the license key which will be needed to install the software.
  • Can I move my Automation Design Canvas license from one computer to another?

    Yes, you can. In order to move the license to another computer, the license must be deactivated by uninstalling. If an internet connection is not available, you need to contact sales@artoftest.com to deactivate your license. Only then can you activate the license on another computer.
  • How many users can work with one ArtOfTest Automation Design Canvas license?

    There are no restrictions on the number of users who work with the ArtOfTest Automation Design Canvas product as long as the software is used on the licensed machine only and only one user is using Design Canvas at any given time. Please note, however, that only 1 user per license will be allowed to access our support system.
  • Am I entitled to free version updates as part of my Automation Design Canvas license?

    Yes, our Automation Design Canvas licenses come with a subscription which entitles you to free version updates for 1 year which includes minor and major version upgrades.
  • How do I renew my subscription?

    Shortly before your subscription expires, we will send you an invitation to renew.  The subscription renewal will cost 50% of the original price of the license.
  • Do I get source code with the ArtOfTest Automation Design Canvas license?

    No, source code is not offered with our Automation Design Canvas licenses.
  • How is ArtOfTest Automation Design Canvas different than Telerik’s WebUI Test Studio product?

    Telerik’s WebUI Test Studio includes all features that are part of Automation Design Canvas in addition to a specialized list of control translators that tailor the designer for Telerik’s ASP.NET AJAX controls. These translators allow the designer to auto detect Telerik’s ASP.NET AJAX controls and offer custom actions and verifications for them. Other than the translators, both designers includ the same exact feature set.
  • I’m an existing Telerik customer looking for a test automation solution. Which product should I choose?

    For existing Telerik customers, we encourage you to take a look at Telerik’s WebUI Test Studio which is built upon Automation Design Canvas and WebAii Automation Framework. WebUI Test Studio includes all features that are part of Automation Design Canvas in addition to a specialized list of control translators that tailor the designer for Telerik’s ASP.NET AJAX controls.   • Can I use ArtOfTest Automation Design Canvas to test applications developed with 3rd party UI controls, other than Telerik’s?

    Yes, absolutely.
  • Does Automation Design Canvas support Silverlight UI testing?

    Currently no. Silverlight record and play back support will be added soon. That being said, our WebAii Automation Framework currently has a beta version of the runtime that can be used to craft coded tests to run automation against Silverlight applications.
  • I just need to run tests, which license should I purchase?

    If you just need to run tests, not create or edit them, then you can opt for the Server license. This  is a low-cost license that was designed to run Automation Design Canvas projects on computers that do not have the Machine license installed.

    Server license can be used on Continuous Integration Server machines and Test Lab machines where test execution is all what is needed.

  • Is support included with the Automation Design Canvas server license?

    No, our server licenses complement the machine licenses and do not include a support package.
  • What happens with my support package when my subscription expires?

    If you want to renew your support, you need to renew a subscription license for one of your machine licenses. If you decide not to renew your support package, you will still be able to use the online forums support.  
  • How do I renew my Subscription?

    Shortly before your subscription expires in a year after your purchase, we will send you an invitation to renew.
  • Can I use the product after my subscription expires?

    You can continue using the products that were licensed to you during the subscription term even after the subscription expires. In case you would like to continue to receive product updates and support, you need to renew your subscription.
  • Do you offer volume discounts?

    We offer volume discounts for Machine licenses only according to the following schedule:


    3 to 4 licenses - 10%
    5 to 9 licenses - 15%
    10 to 15 licenses - 20%
    16 to 20 licenses - 25%

Payments

  • We want to make a wire transfer. What currencies do you accept?

    We accept wire transfers only in US dollars. Bank account information will be included in your invoice. Please review the Purchase Orders page for more information on how to place a PO.
  • Do you accept checks?

    ArtOfTest accepts checks issued in US dollars. Please, make your checks payable to:

  • Do you accept purchase orders?

    Yes, we do. For more information, please click on “Purchase orders” on our Purchase page.
  • How can I place an order online?

    The easiest way to obtain to a license is online.

    Should you need any assistance with the order placement, please do not hesitate to contact sales@artoftest.com.

  • What types of credit cards do you accept?

    We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. The advantage of using a credit card to make your payment is that your order will be processed immediately and you will be able to download the software without delay. If your CC is not mentioned in the list above, you can also pay via bank transfer or check. In that case you will need to send us a Purchase Order.
  • How do I receive the invoice for my purchase?

    As soon as you place the Purchase Order, you will receive an email from billing@artoftest.com that has an invoice attached to it.

    If you used a credit card to purchase the product, then you will only receive a receipt. If you wish to also receive an invoice please contact billing@artoftest.com.

Trials

  • Do you offer a free trial?

    We offer fully functional 20 day trials which work without license keys.  A trial product can be easily converted to a licensed product by entering the purchased licensed key into the software without having to uninstall/reinstall the product.

Refunds

  • Do you offer refunds?

    Our trials are fully functional for 20 days. If you wish to extend your trial period, please contact us at sales@artoftest.com. We also offer free online support using our forums throughout the trial period.

    Returns are honored by special request only and cannot be guaranteed.  Generally, we make refunds only in case a credit card was stolen and used to purchase an ArtOfTest product license.

    There are no refunds on subscription renewals.  Please e-mail us at sales@artoftest if you have further questions regarding our refund policy.

Cancellation Policy

  • How do I cancel my order?

    If you would like to cancel your order after making a purchase, please contact us at billing@artoftest.com.
